Colorado Springs Realtor – Baccalaureate Blessing

This past weekend was exceptionally emotional for me as my son Kristofer graduated from Colorado Springs Christian Schools, a private college prep school. Now we have two young men attending Colorado State University, as Kris begins his freshman year in the fall, and our oldest Jake, will be graduating in December.

Change is upon our household as with my career as being a Colorado Springs Realtor. I want to make sure to identify any blocks in my life, relieve any encumbrances and fully embrace how God directs my footsteps.

To share with many who have been affiliated with our Colorado Springs Real Estate business for years, below is my baccalaureate blessing that I prayed over Kristofer at the commencement exercise. I thank all of you who have graciously blessed my business and our lives over these years. Where did the time go? Can you believe that Kristofer is all grown up?

“My son,

To summarize my thoughts into one feeling I have at this moment comes down to this – gratitude for you and for your life. I have always loved you. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to celebrate this very special milestone of your life, and so proud of you for ending your high school years well. In one extremely fast swoop, this part of your life is done. Forever changed. I’m excited for you to spread your wings and go to CSU. Some of the most fun years are coming up and I want you to enjoy each one of them with remembering the virtues you have learned. You have always defended those who cannot defend themselves, and may this profound sense of justice you have be channeled into the right direction – along with your unique talents of music, film, creative arts and more. I know that you have a very special calling on your life – I have always known this. I also know you don’t have to worry, that it will all work out in its time. Just enjoy the time and space of this season. I am so proud of my son. Thank you for blessing me by being YOU.

Love,

Mum”

Hi Cherise, Congratulations to Kris on his graduation and to you the proud mum!  So sweet.  Children are the greatest blessing.

Jane,

My husband says I'm very biased, but I think Kristofer is the most handsome guy from his class.  Thanks for commenting.

It's hard to believe those little ones grow up!  He is a doll and you've got every reason to be proud.  Loved the blessing and picture too!

Ann,

The proverb about life rings true.  Life is but a breath.  Thank goodness Kristofer is attending college just 2 hours away.

Congratulations to your handsome son - and I know how bittersweet it is to see our children growing up & on out into the world.  But wonderful that his college is close enough to still see him often!

Congratulations, Cherise!  You have every reason to be proud of Kris, and what a handsome boy he is!   I wish him all the best in this next chapter.

Hi Cherise!  What a cutie pie he is too!  CONGRATULATIONS on his graduation.  I loved your message to him--his life is changing and he has been given the tools that he needs to be successful and enjoy these next years.  They are the most fun times of your life, that's for sure!  Preparation for the next 'step' in life is a bit scary but, it looks like you've prepped him well.

Cherise, congrats to you and your son. This past week we graduated the 14 y/o from 8th grade. We still have one starting 2nd grade in the fall.

Debe,

I don't think it ever feels like you can do enough for those you love the most.  But you're right, I think Gordon and I have given him the tools to discover himself and his passions.

Frank,

Enjoy these years.  They go by way too quickly.  I would have never believed it if I hadn't experienced it.
